Performance & Appearance

At Sledgehammer Performance, I enjoy helping fellow car enthusiasts improve the performance and appearance of their vehicles in a clean, well-equipped home garage. This isn’t a commercial shop—just a place where car people can collaborate, learn, and work on upgrades together.

I’m happy to lend a hand with installs, modifications, and aesthetic improvements for those who want to work on their vehicle but appreciate a second set of experienced hands. Please note that this is not a licensed or insured business, and no labor charges are involved—this is simply enthusiasts helping enthusiasts.

If you’re looking to improve the look or performance styling of your car, I’m happy to help fellow enthusiasts tackle common exterior upgrades in my home garage. Many of these installs can be done with basic tools, patience, and an extra set of hands.

Some projects I can assist with include:

  • Front splitters and air dams

  • Rear diffusers

  • Side skirts / rocker extensions

  • Spoilers and rear wings

  • Grille replacements or blackout kits

  • Front lip installs

  • License plate bracket relocation

  • Badging removal or replacement

  • Carbon fiber trim pieces

  • Exterior trim upgrades

  • Minor panel adjustments and alignment

  • Basic lighting upgrades (LED bulbs, marker lights, etc.)

These types of projects can dramatically improve the look of a car and are often easier to complete with another enthusiast helping out.

Many performance upgrades are straightforward installs that can be completed in a home garage with the right tools and some extra help. I enjoy working alongside fellow enthusiasts to install common bolt-on upgrades that improve sound, responsiveness, and overall driving experience.

Projects I can help with include:

  • Axle-back exhaust upgrades

  • Cold air intake installations

  • Performance air filters

  • Throttle body upgrades

  • Headers

  • Spark plug and ignition coil replacement

  • Basic suspension components (sway bars, end links, etc.)

  • Brake pad and rotor replacements

  • Wheel and tire swaps

  • Basic under-hood cosmetic upgrades

  • Supercharger installation

Most of these upgrades are bolt-on modifications that can be completed with standard tools and careful installation.

Routine maintenance is one of the best ways to keep a vehicle running reliably and performing at its best. Many common maintenance tasks can be completed in a home garage with the right tools and an extra set of hands.

I’m happy to help fellow enthusiasts work through basic maintenance projects such as:

  • Oil and filter changes

  • Engine air filter replacement

  • Cabin air filter replacement

  • Battery replacement

  • Wiper blade replacement

  • Brake pad and rotor replacement

  • Basic fluid checks and top-offs

  • Spark plug replacement

  • Basic lighting replacement (headlights, tail lights, markers)

  • Wheel removal and torque checks

  • Basic inspections before trips or track days

Working on your own vehicle is a great way to learn more about it, and many of these tasks are easier with another person around to help.
