There has been a rattle in my truck for a while and I finally fixed it. Originally I thought it was the skid plate being loose so last oil change I made sure to tighten it good. No change. I then went to the old fashioned way of pounding here and there until I narrowed it down to the grill itself. I couldn’t ever figure out what was hitting what and it only did it when completely closed. I just let it go until I couldn’t stand it anymore. Today I was looking at it a little closer and I realized that there were rubber bump stops that could be adjusted for this on either side of the hood itself. I turned them a couple of times each and the rattle went away. All I had to do is look up for the solution rather than fussing with trying to tighten the grill or adjust the hood latch.
