The spring driving season is upon us, but it is really hard to think about cars and driving with everything going on in the world and the COVID-19 pandemic. I am taking this very seriously and I am hoping all of you do as well. I am personally at high risk and I know others who are as well, so social distancing and careful practices are an absolute must. I have been reluctantly working from home but I am lucky enough to be working in IT and have many resources at my disposal. I will say that it is rather therapeutic to go out in the garage and detail the Honda while an episode of Wheeler Dealers is streaming on the TV. It’s one of the few things that distract me from current events and the pandemic.
I did put a new coat of paint on the walls of the garage since there was no better time to do it during this at-home time. I have some blinds ordered because I don’t want people to be able to look in, even though it is alarmed. I still need to do something about that floor from 1969 but I am researching my options. I don’t want to get it professionally coated because of the cracking so I may just do some type of overlay. We shall see.
Here’s hoping we can return to normalcy one day but my hope is to stay healthy for my family so we can continue to enjoy life and top-down driving together.
