It is kind of a sad day because I parted ways with the 1987 Regal that I have owned since 1998. 17 years is a long time and this car was a big part of my life and identity. It was a rolling testament to how well I take care of my things. It just got to the point that I was paying $80 a month to store a car that only saw the light of day for less than 1000 miles a year. I could do a lot of things with that money so I decided to give it a new home and I was happy that it went to a Buick enthusiast who will take care of it as well. It needed to go to a person like that.
I plan on taking the proceeds and just putting it in the bank so that I can think about my next move over the winter. The practical side of me says to go pay cash for a new Toyota Corolla and enjoy reliability and good gas mileage. The fun side of me says to sell the Cobra too and put money from selling both cars towards a new Mustang GT and make car payments. The frugal part of me says to put the money in the bank and just keep the truck and Cobra. See my struggles? 🙂
Anyway, I am feeling seller’s remorse but it should pass.
